Terrylynn's History:

I was trained as a personal care assistant (nurses aid, care aid)  through the Brenda Stratford Foundation in 2003, and have several years experience in this field as well as being my husbands care support for the past 10 years. I have a wide range of skills and experience, from office administration in the trucking industry to running a couple successful cleaning businesses. I also have extensive experience working with dogs,  and some experience with horses. I ran a mid sized dog walking/ boarding business back in Calgary, then took courses in "Therapy and Service dog training" and ran a dog training business. I have always been entrepreneurial, and have a lot of experience in this area.

In addition to the my work experience I love to hike and explore the outdoors, I believe spending time outside in nature to be very healthy and emotionally healing. Where there is more peace and quiet away from noise and distractions. I will be incorporating animal day events as well as hiking/ walking groups as an addition to our business services.

Terrylynns training: Personal Care Assistant 2003, Social work program 2005/ 2006, CPR/ first aid multiple times, Therapy and Service dog training 2021. Owner Operator of several small businesses 2005 to present.

Jeremy's History:

Jeremy is a former Lieutenant Firefighter and Medic this is where his passions lie. He would have gone through the paramedic program as well if he hadn't been diagnosed with Parkinsons. In addition he has experience working as a care aid with people with various disabilities. Jeremy has seen things from many sides and perspectives.  He loves to draw and paint and this has helped to keep his spirits up and nurture his well being, during the harder times.

Post diagnosis, he took training to be a personal trainer and PWR! Moves instructor. Jeremy has run 4 half marathons, a couple 16 km and several 10km runs post diagnosis and is passionate about maintaining as much activity and movement as possible.

He is currently "Lead Facilitator" for the Parkinsons Support group in Vernon, BC. He continues to motivate and inspire and strive towards keeping a positive attitude as much as possible on the good and not so good days. He is always working towards improving and bettering himself.
