Staying Active

jrun.jpg

We have all heard of the importance of being active, it effects our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being. Its so important to ensure that we keep ourselves moving. This might look a little different for everyone. Many people need to take adaptive measures and make necessary adjustments to be able to do this, or to be able to start moving again. For myself each spring I dream of running with my dog Nala and each spring I dont do as well as I would like. I run a little cani-cross with her.  I wish I could say I run a lot. However I do walk a lot. Often covering anywhere from 5km to 10 km/ day usually with our dog Rayne. So I may be frustrated with myself in one area. I need to give myself credit in another, at least I am active and at least I am moving.

Jeremy is mine and I am sure so many others inspiration. He has pushed himself and been determined to keep himself moving despite Parkinsons. Which to say this has been easy would be a huge discredit to his drive and determination. Some days are strong days and others he needs to rest a bit more. Post Diagnosis he retrained himself as a Personal Trainer and PWR moves instructor, he has credited PWR moves for having gotten him back on track and back moving again. He is an example of the importance of moving and stretching every day, which has helped him to have more better days.
